Great Boulder Resources is a new mineral exploration company, with a primary focus on exploration, discovery and delineation of nickel-copper-cobalt and gold resources within the Eastern Goldfields Region of Western Australia.

YAMARNA – MT VENN AND EASTERN MAFIC COMPLEX
THE YAMARNA PROJECT IS LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 130 KILOMETRES EAST OF LAVERTON, AND APPROXIMATELY 30 KILOMETRES WEST OF THE GRUYERE GOLD DEPOSIT IN THE EASTERN GOLDFIELDS DISTRICT OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA.

Great Boulder Resources’ Mt Venn Project contains the Mt Venn Ni-Cu-Co discovery and the highly prospective Eastern Mafic Complex. The Mt Venn and Eastern Mafic Complex are interpreted to represent large scale copper-nickel-cobalt magmatic systems with the following key points:

  • Sulphide mineralisation discovered over several kilometres at along the western margin of the Mt Venn complex and remains open in all directions.
  • Multiple, parallel lenses of copper-nickel-cobalt mineralisation have been identified. High grade copper has been intersected along the footwall contact at Mt Venn.
  • The recently identified Eastern Mafic complex resembles a very large ‘pipe-like’ intrusion.
  • Airborne EM flown over the Eastern Mafic Complex have identified multiple late-time conductors, indicative of a bedrock source.
  • Aircore geochemistry confirms a strong correlation between the EM conductors and copper-nickel mineralisation.

Under the Yamarna Joint Venture Agreement, the Company has the right to earn a 75% interest in the Yamarna Project by funding exploration expenditure of $2,000,000 over a 5 year period.

TARMOOLA
THE TARMOOLA PROJECT IS LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 40 KILOMETRES NORTH-WEST OF LEONORA, JUST WEST OF THE KING OF HILLS GOLD MINE (FORMERLY KNOWN AS TARMOOLA) OPERATED BY SARACEN RESOURCES LIMITED AND THE GWALIA UNDERGROUND GOLD MINE OPERATED BY ST BARBARA LIMITED.

Under the Tarmoola Joint Venture Agreement, the Company has the right to earn a 75% interest in the Tarmoola Project by funding exploration expenditure of $1,400,000 over a 5 year period.

Historically overlooked, the land was pegged by EGMC as a conceptual large-scale gold project highlighted by a large regional geochemical pathfinder anomaly which also incorporates the King of the Hills and Sons of Gwalia gold deposits. The Tarmoola Project lies in the same geological setting as these deposits, being a northern extension to a regional granite-greenstone terrane contact.

WINCHESTER PROJECT
THE WINCHESTER PROJECT IS LOCATED 120KM NORTHEAST OF LAVERTON AND 40KM NORTH OF MT VENN, SITUATED OVER PROSPECTIVE MAFIC AND ULTRAMAFIC ROCKS OF THE BURTVILLE TERRANE.

Great Boulder is exploring the project under an earn-in agreement with Ausgold Limited. Post the end of FY19 the Company has a 51% interest in the project, with the aiming of moving to 75%.

Ausgold previously identified a number of conductive anomalies at Winchester from airborne and ground electromagnetic (EM) surveys. Initial aircore drilling at the Winchester Prospect resulted in the discovery of significant copper and nickel sulphides, including:

  • 48m @ 0.6% Cu and 0.3% Ni, including 9m @ 1.1% Cu and 0.4% Ni; and
  • 39m @ 0.4% Cu and 0.2% Ni.

MT CARLON PROJECT
THE MT CARLON PROJECT (100% GBR), IS LOCATED 60KM SOUTH OF MT VENN.

The Mt Carlon project was originally identified during a regional review to identify potential mafic intrusions that may host magmatic nickel-copper-cobalt sulphide mineralisation.

There are two conceptual targets within Mt Carlon. The first is an area of strong geophysical magnetic and gravity response on the eastern side of the greenstone belt which may represent a large mafic intrusion. The second is an ultramafic unit mapped over 7km of strike in which historic drilling has identified elevated nickel and copper values.

In mid-2019 Great Boulder completed an airborne EM survey over the tenement looking for possible sulphide bodies. This resulted in the identification of two large, elongate anomalies labelled the Western Zone anomaly and the Eastern Zone anomaly.

WHITEHEADS PROJECT
GEOLOGICALLY THE WHITEHEADS PROJECT STRADDLES THE TERRANE BOUNDARY BETWEEN ROCKS OF THE KALGOORLIE TERRANE TO THE WEST, AND THE KURNALPI TERRANE TO THE EAST.

In late August 2019 the Company announced the acquisition of an option to acquire a 75% interest in the Whiteheads Gold Project from Zebina Minerals Pty Ltd. Under the terms of the agreement, Great Boulder can earn a 75% interest in the project by spending $200,000 on exploration. The consideration for the option was a value of $100,000 and the consideration to exercise the option is a further $400,000, with both payments being 50% cash and 50% GBR shares.
