Big Picture – A Deep Dive Examination of MGX Minerals Inc.

MGX Minerals Inc. Snapshot

MGX Minerals Inc. is focused on building shareholder value through the development of industrial and precious metal assets throughout western Canada. The Company operates magnesium, lithium, silica and gold projects.

MGX recently received approval of a 20-year mining lease for its flagship Driftwood Creek magnesium project located in eastern British Columbia. The Company has completed two rounds of diamond drilling and is currently conducting a 100-tonne bulk sample for metallurgy and resource estimate purposes. Driftwood is part of a large portfolio of magnesium properties acquired throughout British Columbia. The Company now controls a majority of magnesium properties throughout the Province as reported by the British Columbia Geological Survey (BCGS) (Simandl, 2014).

In late 2015 the Company also identified opportunities throughout the Province of Alberta to acquire and develop lithium brine properties. Since that time the Company has consolidated a strategic land position spanning over 3000,000 hectares, which includes 14 of the top 25 historical high grade lithium (>=90 mg/L lithium) as reported by the Alberta Geological Survey (AGS, 2013). The Company closed a strategic financing to begin developing these properties and is currently preparing to complete a National Instrument (N.I.) 43-101 technical report.

MGX also controls three high-grade silica projects in British Columbia. Early-stage exploration work has identified elevated silicon dioxide (SiO2) levels at each project that compare favorably to other silica operators throughout the Province. The Company believes that further metallurgy work is warranted to identify potential ferrosilicon end market uses.

The Company also controls over 10,000 hectares of mineral tenures within the Omineca mining division of British Columbia. Historic diamond drilling spanning more than 15,000 meters has identified several exploration targets that host low-grade, bulk tonnage porphyry-type potential. The Fran property sits just 30 kilometers south of Thompson Creek Metal’s Mount Milligan mine.
