Life-saving and mission critical products are highly complex and require a sophisticated level of manufacturing to ensure they can reliably perform every time – all the time.

IEC Electronics has that high level of technical expertise and the broad array of manufacturing solutions for complicated full system assemblies ranging from early phase prototype designs to custom configured end-product customer fulfillment.

On-site testing laboratories are used to analyze components, printed circuit board assemblies, and full system level assemblies in combination with our custom functional test development to solve any challenge and ensure that the end-product functions as expected when deployed in the field.

From counterfeit component detection per DLA standards to broad manufacturing capabilities beyond PCBA, such as metalworking and interconnect solutions – we control the supply chain to drive quality, reduce lead time, and minimize our customer’s risk.

Jeffrey T. Schlarbaum


Jeffrey T.  Schlarbaum was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of IEC Electronics in February of 2015. Mr. Schlarbaum has extensive experience in the EMS industry and successfully led IEC Electronics’ revitalization strategy resulting in a transformation from  2005 to 2013 growing sales from $19M to $145M. During that time, he held a variety of roles including President;  Executive Vice President and President of Contract Manufacturing;  and Vice President of  Sales and Marketing. Prior to rejoining IEC Electronics, Mr. Schlarbaum was the Chief Operations Officer for LaserMax, Inc., a manufacturer of laser gun sights for law enforcement. Mr. Schlarbaum has served in several executive management roles with various advanced electronics companies including Plexus Corp and Seagate Technologies. Mr. Schlarbaum holds an M.B.A from Pepperdine University.

Thomas L. Barbato


Thomas L. Barbato joined IEC Electronics in September 2018 as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Barbato, age 49, has had a successful 23-year career at Xerox Corporation, where he held a variety of high level finance and operational positions, most recently serving as Vice President, Finance - North America Operations Pricing and Contracting.  Prior to that he was Vice President, Finance – U.S. Large Enterprise Operations, a $1.8 billion division of Xerox.  His experience includes all facets of pricing and contracting, deal review and risk management, acquisitions, accounting and internal controls.  While at Xerox he held leadership roles in change management as well as Lean Six Sigma initiatives.  Before joining Xerox, Mr. Barbato served as Senior Auditor at Deloitte & Touche in Rochester, New York.  He holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from St. John Fisher College.

Jennifer M. Brown


Jennifer M. Brown joined IEC Electronics as Vice President of Human Resources in February 2015.  Prior to joining IEC Electronics, from 2012 to 2014  Ms. Brown served as Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Corporate Secretary at Alteva, Inc., a leading provider of UCaas (Unified Communications as a Service) which is based in Philadelphia, PA.  From 1996 to 2011, Ms. Brown served as Senior Vice President - Administration and Human Resources at Access Group, Inc., which was the originator and servicer of federal and private graduate education loans based in Wilmington, Delaware.  Prior to that, she served as Vice President - Human Resources at Graduate Heath Systems - Parkview Hospital, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ms. Brown holds a B.A. in English/Communications from Loyola University.
