On October 28, 2004 the Company completed its initial public offering and on October 29, 2004 commenced trading of its common shares on the TSX Venture Exchange ("TSXV") under the symbol "MAW". In 2008 the company migrated to the main TSX board under the ticker symbol "MAW".

Mawson is a natural resources company which has been continually engaged in the acquisition and exploration of precious and energy mineral interests since its incorporation in 2004.

The Company's flag ship property is the Rompas gold project in Finland.

The corporate objectives are to build our business in the Nordic countries around Rompas and to find and define large, long-life assets. Our long term vision to cement ourselves as a Finnish based and majority-owned company.

The team has made numerous discoveries and has demonstrated success advancing these towards mining.

The Rompas-Rajapalot exploration project is Mawson’s flagship properties in Finnish Lapland. Both high-grade gold and cobalt has been discovered within a camp-scale area over 10 sq. km.

Initial discoveries of nuggety, high-grade, gold-uraninite-bearing dolomite veins developed over a 6km trend at Rompas led to the maiden drill program returning 6m at 617 g/t gold from 7m depth in drill hole ROM0011 in 2011.

At Rajapalot, approximately 8 km east, the discovery of Palokas in 2013 by drilling returned high-grade, disseminated gold including 19.5m at 7.4 g/t gold from 1.3m in PRAJ0006 and 5.4m at 37.6 g/t gold from 2.5m in PRAJ0009, with significant cobalt mineralization also identified across the project ie PAL0075: 10.8 metres @ 1,299 ppm Co, 6.2g/t Au (8.7g/t AuEq) from 8.7 metres.

Interpretation of the geology indicates 65km of host stratigraphy exists within Mawson's permit area. In combination with widespread hydrothermal alteration and gold mineralization, expectations for further drilling success remain high with large drill programs ongoing on the project.

United States

Mawson has signed Exploration and Option Agreements for one of the largest areas prospective for epithermal gold in the lower mainland USA (150,500 hectares) from an arm’s length private landholder (the “Landholder”).

While Mawson shall maintain a sharp focus on its flagship Rompas-Rajapalot gold-cobalt project in Finland where preparation for a substantial winter drilling program is well advanced, this new Western USA project (“the WUSA project”) presents the opportunity for rapid progress and discovery in an alternate jurisdiction. Dependent on results, the WUSA project is being explored with a view to potential future joint venture, strategic alliance, or corporate transaction.
