3.15pm: Tertiary "kean-o" on project near Reno

Tertiary Minerals plc (LON:TYM) shares rose 7.7% to 0.35p after it announced a new project acquisition.

It has secured exploration rights and an option to purchase a group of claims in the Pyramid Mining District of Nevada.

The project is located 25 miles north-west of Reno and is easily accessible by sealed highway, the company said.

1.10pm: Pressure rises as it updates on proposed sale of Greenlane Biogas

Shares in Pressure Technologies PLC (LON:PRES) rose by 12.7% to 111p as the specialist engineering company moved closer to completing the sale of its Greenlane Biogas business.

The proposed buyer, Canadian firm Creation Capital, has received the minimum C$6mln it was seeking through its fundraising.

Pressure Tech said the sale is expected to complete at the end of this month.

12.30pm: Clontarf plunges after bleak set of results

Clontarf Energy PLC (LON:CLON), the oil and gas exploration company focused on Ghana and Bolivia, received a frosty reception to its results for 2018, with its shares dropping 13% to 0.195p in late morning trade. 

The pre-revenue company saw its loss before tax narrow to £350,5523, down from £2.77mln a year earlier, when the results were skewed by a £2.55mln write-down of its evaluation assets.

The company conceded that progress in Ghana had been slow; the company concluded a licence agreement in Ghana more than 10 years ago and it still has not been ratified.

11.45am: Novo takes stake in Oxford Biomedica

Oxford Biomedica PLC (LON:OXB) shares took on nearly 10% at 758p after Danish life sciences investment firm Novo Holdings bought a 10% stake in the gene and cell therapy group.

The Danish firm pumped £53.5mln into Oxford Biomedica.

The UK company said the proceeds of the investment will be used to repay debt and develop its LentiVector platform and other products.

11.00am: Trafalgar Property sinks after discounted fundraising

The new finance boss of residential and assisted living property developer, Trafalgar Property Group PLC (LON:TRAF), faces a battle after the latest plunge in the group's share price, which dropped 37.5% to 0.375p.

The company announced the appointment of Paul Treadaway as chief financial officer following a heavily discounted fundraising which saw it raise £250,000 through a placing of shares at 0.4p a pop.

10.15am: Yü in the blue after head bean-counter ups his stake

Paul Rawson, the chief financial officer of Yü Group PLC (LON:YU.), has put his hand in his pocket and bought 33,503 shares in the energy provider.

The shares were purchased at 161p a throw. Yü shares currently trade at around 177.5p, after rising 9.2% this morning.

Rawson’s stake in Yü now stands at 0.21%.

9.30am: The march of the robtots

The rise of the robots is definitely happening, with Proton Power Systems Plc (LON:PPS) on a surge in early trade on Tuesday after the delivery of a stack manufacturing robot.

The designer, developer and producer of fuel cells said installation of the robot will allow it to increase production capacity to 5,000 fuel cell units a year.

In order to meet future increasing demand, plans are already in place to modify the machine layout to be able to produce up to 30,000 stack units per year, the company added.

Shares in Proton were up 14% at 33.5p, which might leave technology firms-backer Frontier IP Group PLC (LON:FIPP) a bit miffed after its own announcement regarding portfolio firm Fieldwork Robotics left its share price 1.8% lower.

Frontier, which assists in the commercialisation of intellectual property developed by Britain's universities, said Fieldwork Robotics has completed initial field trials of its raspberry-picking robot system at a farm owned by leading soft-fruit grower Hall Hunter. Frontier has a 27.5% stake in Fieldwork Robotics.
