Ximen Mining Corp (TSX-V:XIM, OTCQB:XXMMF) said during its 2022 field season it has completed airborne LiDAR and magnetic surveys to identify mineralization and future exploration and drilling targets at its Brett gold property near Vernon in southern British Columbia.

The company said in a statement that a total of 54 square kilometres were covered by magnetic surveys, flown at 50-metre-spaced flight lines.

The LiDAR surveys, which collected data with a Phoenix Ranger LiDAR scanner via a manned helicopter, covered a total of 12 square kilometres and included orthophotos.

Since the discovery of the Brett epithermal gold property in 1983, Ximen said a total of 160 diamond drill holes and several reverse circular holes have been completed at the property.

This year, the company initiated a review of all previous work, generated new 3D models of the mineralized zones, and reviewed surface and downhole geochemical results to design further exploration drilling and other surveys.

The 2022 helicopter magnetic and LiDAR surveys were done to provide base information for exploring for extensions to the main and parallel zones at the property, Ximen said.

The magnetic results will be used to map the distribution of rock types beneath cover and identify possible de-magnetized zones associated with mineralization.

The LiDAR will be used to identify fault structures and to provide a detailed topographic base, and the results will be used for generating targets for future exploration and drilling.

Ximen Mining is focused on mining and exploration of its properties in southern British Columbia, Canada.  It owns 100% interest in three of its precious metal projects; two gold projects, the Amelia gold mine and the Brett Epithermal gold project and the Treasure Mountain silver project adjacent to the past producing Huldra Silver (TSX-V:HDA) mine.
