Big data analytics company AnalytixInsight (CVE:ALY) has signed a partnership and revenue sharing arrangement for its mobile subsidiary Stockwall and Futura Grafica S.p.A., owner of the Italian consumer electronic brand Miia.

The terms of the agreement are such that AnalytixInsight's Marketwall financial data analytics app will be loaded onto every Miia device, with subscription revenues to be shared 70/30 between Stockwall and Miia, respectively.

The deal follows Marketwall's tie-up with Samsung, with the mobile app preloaded and marketed on the Korean companhy's smart devices platform.

Miia was established in 2011 and is one of Europe's fastest growing consumer electronics brands, already capturing some 10 percent of the market share in Italy. Its products, which range in TVs, tablets, smartphones and accessories, are characterized by stylish design. It currently sells about 2 million devices, mostly in Europe, with expectations that its international operations will contribute about 40 percent of its total sales in three years.

"The partnership will pre-load the Marketwall App on the millions of devices across Miia's platform and allow Miia's growing user base to access unique content on market prices, company fundamentals, mutual funds and currencies," said chief executive of the company's Stockwall subsidiary, Marco Roscio Ricon.

"Along with our Samsung partnership, this is the second partnership we have with a device maker and we expect to sign similar partnerships with other leading device brands and create a large audience base," he added.

The company's proprietary, cloud-based platform performs 100 billion computations daily, and converts the results into text, offering bottom-up individual component-based fundamental research of equities and ETFs.

The platform serves investors through both web and mobile routes (through Marketwall), and the analytical engine can be customized for other data-driven applications such as bonds and options, opening up numerous revenue opportunities.

The web-based version, called CapitalCube, provides financial research and analysis of over 50,000 global stocks and ETFs through its software-as-a-service platform, and is the only platform that provides bottom-up analysis of over 1,500 ETFs.

Its platform has already attracted the likes of some major industry players. The company has signed contracts with the Wall Street Journal, the London Stock Exchange, Dow Jones, MarketWatch, AOL, Wealthmanagement.com and Barron's.

AnalytixInsight said this latest deal with mobile device maker Miia is part of its efforts to tap the growing demand for financial data and analysis content in the mobile space.

"Both Marketwall and Miia have consistently emphasized innovation in design to create a fulfilling customer experience and we consider this partnership one of the key milestones to achieve our goal of creating the best customer experience across our products," said project head of Miia, Matteo Franchina.
