Deltex Medical (LON:DEMG) has launched its first online e-learning course for oesophageal doppler monitoring (ODM).
The blood flow monitoring group has launched two websites, one in the US and the other in the UK, with Spanish versions expected shortly.
It is working with academic partners to translate and distribute the site in other languages, and expects to add more modules to the current base.
Deltex says ODM, which aims to measure blood flow in the body's central circulation in real time, can reduce post-operative complications, intensive care admissions and the length of hospital stay.
The e-learning site, to date, has been able to train more staff at a faster rate to become independent users of ODM, the company said.
Deltex is a British manufacturer of fluid management devices which include the CardioQ-ODM and CardioQ-ODM+.
Ewan Phillips, chief executive, said: “We have been very pleased with the response to our e-learning packages, particularly in the USA, where we are focused on converting significant numbers of staff to ODM users in platform accounts.
“Our new online platform is more flexible, requires lower grade broadband access and avoids the cost and administrative burden of individual user licences.”
