SCS will supply support services for exercises and training programs

Defence technology group Cohort (LON:CHRT) has landed a £9.7mln contract to provide training and exercise support to the UK Ministry of Defence.

The two-year deal is with Cohort’s subsidiary SCS, which has carried out the role since 2000, winning the last five consecutive competitive tenders.

SCS will supply support services to help design and develop joint force exercises and training programs.

Andy Thomis, chief executive of Cohort, said: “The award of this contract underlines SCS' leadership in operational level exercise support services, and further strengthens our order book.

“We are very proud to have supported the MoD's collective training of deployable military headquarters for more than 15 years, both in the UK and overseas.”
