Two new orders have come along at once.

21st Century Technology (LON:C21) told investors it has landed two new contracts worth  a total of £500,000.

The transport technology group - which sells a range of products including CCTV, on-board wifi, passenger counters and telematics - said one new deal was for its fleet systems division while the other is for its integrated systems business.

A £300,000 contract with ‘one of the UK's major passenger transport operators’ will see 21st Century’s Croydon-based fleet systems division modify vital 'on-board' IT sub-systems. The work is to be done in overnight stints at a number of depots over a compressed timescale during the first half of 2016.

Elsewhere, the company’s Coventry-based integrated systems business has secured a £200,000 contract with a local authority to upgrade an urban security scheme.

"We are delighted that these major customers have selected us to carry out these important and time sensitive upgrades and modification works,” said chief executive Russ Singleton.

“These are further examples of 21st Century delivering on our commitment to broaden the range of services we can offer to the public transport sector and leverages our abilities as we move towards providing a more complete range of technical services into diverse fleets across all IT based 'on-board' technologies".

On AIM, 21st Century shares gained 0.25p or 6.25% to trade at 4.25p each.
