Granite Construction wins taxi-ways contract at Anchorage International Airport

Granite Construction Inc (NYSE:GVA) has been awarded a $20mln contract by the Alaska Department of Transportation.

The contract is for the rehabilitation of the taxi-ways at the Anchorage International Airport.

Granite said it would book the project into backlog during the second quarter of 2016.

The scope of the work includes the rehabilitation of taxi-ways R and T, as well as the construction and installation of taxi-way shoulders, safety areas, elevated lighting systems and signage, the civil engineer revealed.

Construction is scheduled to begin in early June 2016 and should be completed within one year.
