True North will produce between 8,000 - 12,000oz in 2016

Klondex Mines (TSE:KDX) expects to recover between 8,000 - 12,000 ounces of gold in 2016 from its True North mine in Manitoba.

The ounces will generated from a combination of test stope mining and tailings processing, Klondex said.

A decision on whether to move forward to full production will follow a mineral resource update in the next quarter, it added.

Infill core drilling is ongoing in the 710/711 zones, it said, while two long hole test stopes have completed in the Cohiba zone. Bulk sample mining in the 710 zone will start in July.

Paul Huet, chief executive, said that project development progress continues to be on budget and on schedule while reprocessing the tailings through the existing mill was another tremendous opportunity.
