Digital payments company Digital CC (ASX:DCC) has confirmed the security and rapid scalability of its AirPocket global remittance app’s infrastructure.

Testing confirmed its authentication model as well as security against common threats while indicating that it is far less likely to come under attack.

Stress testing confirmed the app could handle up to 12 transactions per second, or over 1 million transactions per day.

It is now preparing for the next phase of testing with U.S. firm Security Innovation that will be completed by end of August.

This will be followed by the public beta phase in the U.S. and select Latin American markets.

AirPocket enables any person with a smart phone and app to be an outlet to access funds via an agent.

Costs are expected to be less than half of imcumbents in the remittances sector.
