The new platform allows an easy way for machines to talk to each other

Machine2Machine tech specialist Telit Communications Plc (LON:TCM) and chip designer Intel have joined forces on a new platform for industrial internet of things (IOT) applications.

The new hardware enables computers to talk to each other more easily to carry out remote machine monitoring and control, production diagnostics and predictive maintenance across a range of industries and without human intervention.

Intel's IOT platform allows access between entry points (or edge devices) in a network using Telit’s deviceWISE  technology, said the AIM-listed group.

Yosi Fait, Telit’s finance director said: "Intel adopting our widely-deployed deviceWISE platform architecture is a testament to its superior edge intelligence, cloud-ready connectivity and seamless integration into enterprise systems.

"Our collaboration with Intel has created a new way for companies to onboard to the Internet of Things.“
