Dow Jones adds 135 pts
US shares continued to track higher and closed in the green on Monday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Index closed over 135 higher at 21,993.
The S&P500 added over 24 points to close the afternoon session at 2,465.
The tech heavy Nasdaq gained over 83 at 6,340.
US crude (West Texas Intermediate) lost 2.72% to stand at $47.50 a barrel.
In Toronto, the TSX added over 86 at 15,119.
MID-SESSION
US stocks were higher at mid-session after London shares closed higher and fears over Trump and North Korea dissipated.
The Dow Jones gained almost 149 points at 22,007, while the tech heavy Nasdaq index added over 83 at 6,339.
The broader- based S&P500 gained over 25 at 2,466.
In Toronto, the S&P/ TSX index - the largest in Canada - gained almost 94 points to go to 15,127.
US crude - West Texas Intermediate -shed 1.86% to $47.90 a barrel.
In companies, Foresight Autonomous Holdings Ltd (NYSE:FRSX) gained over 43% at $6.59 as Chardan Capital initiated coverage on the firm with a 'buy' recommendation.

Elsewhere, Amarin Corporation plc (NASDAQ:AMRN) lost 1.23% having been 7% higher in pre-market after the firm revealed that the independent data monitoring committee has recommended that the REDUCE-IT trial continue as expected.
Top riser on S&P 500 was Nvidia Corporation (NYSE:NVDA), which gained 6% to $165.33.

OPEN
Wall Street shares started Monday by tearing ahead as traders appeared to brush any geopolitical fears aside.
It comes after US stocks finished higher on Friday, with the S&P 500 closing at 2,441, up 3 points on the day but down 1.43% on the week.
The Dow closed at 21,858, up 14 on Friday but down 1.1% on the week.
On Monday, the Dow added 141 points to 21,999, while the S&P 500 gained almost 23 at 2,464. The Nasdaq added over 72 to stand at 6,329.
In Toronto, the TSX gained over 119 points to stand at 15,152.
US crude - or West Texas Intermediate - was up 0.20% to stand at $48.92 a barrel.
In companies, Sysco Corporation (NYSE:SYY) lost 1.39% to $50.86 despite the group posting market-beating fourth quarter earnings results, driven by higher sales and margins.
