Juniper Networks Inc, Herbalife, XL Group Ltd and more - AFTER HOURS

A look at the markets after the bell in New York. What moved the needle?

Herbalife was a stock in focus after the bell

After hours in New York several stocks were in play, including Herbalife Ltd (NYSE:HLF) added around 1% after an SEC filing showed that famous investor  Carl Icahn had boosted his stake in the company to 26%.

In March, he reported a stake of about 24.5%

Meanwhile, Juniper Networks Inc (NYSE:JNPR) saw shares shed 1.58% to US$26.86 after it posted preliminary third quarter estimates, which showed that revenue was below the previous guidance.

Elsewhere, Blackhawk Network Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:HAWK) flew over 6.5% lower after the New York bell after the company offered worse-than-expected guidance for the year.

J.Jill (NASDAQ: JILL) saw shares slump over 37% in the extended session after it lowered its guidance for the third quarter as sales missed expectations.

Also,  XL Group Ltd (NYSE:XL) shares climbed over 3% to US$40.50 after hours as the insurance giant told investors it expected to register about $1.48bn in catastrophe losses in the third quarter, the bulk of which come from recent hurricanes Harvey, Maria and Irma.
