The company's shares are in pre-open

Indiana Resources Ltd (ASX:IDA) has been granted a trading halt by the ASX this morning, to allow time to assess the impact from Tanzania of the Mining Regulations of 2018 published on the 16th January 2018.

The changes relate to Indiana's Ntaka Hill retention licence.

The company recently completed a scoping study at Ntaka Hill demonstrating the potential for a smaller scale operation, targeting the higher-grade zone of the existing resources.

The halt will remain in place until the opening of trade on Friday 19th January 2018, or earlier if an announcement is made to the market.
