Ford shares were notable gainers in pre-market

US futures point to a positive open on Wednesday after yesterday's sell-off.

RF Industries Ltd (NASDAQ:RFIL) added almost 40% in pre-market as it posted first quarter numbers.

Earnings came in at 5 US cents per share in the quarter up from a loss of 2 US cents in the same quarter of last year, while revenues came in at US$10.3mln, beating estimates by US$3.7mln.

Signet Jewelers Ltd (NYSE:SIG) shed 9.62% to US$43.30 before the bell, as it described fiscal 2018 as a challenging year for the company.

The firm reported upbeat earnings for the fourth quarter, but issued a weak earnings forecast for full year 2019.

Motor car giant Ford (NYSE:F) saw shares accelerate in pre-market - up 3.71% to US$11.18 after it was on the end of a two-notch upgrade from Morgan Stanley to 'overweight' on valuation grounds.

The price target was hiked to US$15 from US$10 too.

Vera Bradley Inc (NASDAQ:VRA) shares nudged up 1.88% to US$10.30 after the accessories group unveiled fourth-quarter earnings and revenue that beat consensus.

Net income was US$8.5mln after a loss of US$3.3mln for the same period last year.
