Walmart Inc (NYSE:WMT) has filed a patent for a blockchain-based delivery management system, according to a Coin Telegraph report.

The retail giant is no stranger to blockchain, previously filing patents to apply the technology to medical wearables, energy consumption, food and package tracking.

The Toronto-based trading platform also announced a partnership with blockchain investment bank DLTa 21 to launch a digital currency trading platform in Japan.

The trading platform will be created using Coinsquare’s technology.
