Alderan Resources Ltd (ASX:AL8) has completed roadworks at its Accrington prospect in preparation for the arrival of a second drill rig to test thick copper-bearing skarns.
Copper mineralisation has been exposed by the roadworks across 50 metres, confirming the strata-bound nature of mineralisation within the skarns.

The drilling along the Upper Accrington Road is part of an overall 7,000 metre program which started at the Imperial prospect in June.
These drill holes will systematically test the thick copper-bearing skarns to a depth of between 300 and 500 metres across an area of about 700 metres by 300 metres.
Alderan has contracted Major Drilling to supply and operate the second drill rig.
Historical drilling at Accrington has intersected thick zones of copper-zinc mineralisation with potential higher-grade mineralisation at depth.
Testing porphyry copper mineralisation
Diamond drilling at the nearby Perseverance prospect is planned to reach a depth of at least 1,000 metres to test the large porphyry copper mineralisation.
The deep drill hole is expected to be completed by early August.
The Perseverance prospect is a large chargeability feature consistent with a large mineralised porphyry copper system.
It is between the Cactus Corridor, which hosts the Cactus mine, and the Accrington skarn.
