Tech and blockchain specialist Internet of Things Inc (CVE:ITT) is set to market and sell PointGrab Ltd workspace products in China.

PointGrab is the owner of the sensing technology platform CogniPoint, which allows users to optimise the allocation of physical resources such as workstations, meeting rooms and even lighting.

The solution is aimed at the smart buildings and commercial real estate technology (CRE-tech) industries and makes it easier for workers to share and find workspace and colleagues, fostering greater collaboration and productivity.

IoT's joint venture New Hope IoT Intl Inc has entered into the channel agreement with PointGrab Ltd.

Workspace management tools

"With office densification rates having increased across the globe in 2017, combined with evidence of poor space utilisation, and the expectation for more productive work environments, the need for workspace management tools has never been so urgent," said Doron Shachar, chief executive of PointGrab Ltd.

"Data-driven decision making and occupancy analytics are essential to achieving success in this space. We are excited to partner with the talented team at IoT Inc. and to leverage their extensive connections as we all work towards bringing our technology to market in China."

Michael Frank, the chief executive at IoT Inc, added: “Statistics show that the trend of workplace autonomy is here to stay.

"As such, it’s crucial for organisations to understand how and where employees are using office flex space so that they can optimise usage, realise cost efficiencies and improve overall productivity.”

Internet of Things Inc is a strategic investor and operator of high growth companies with innovative technology solutions.
