Spiering has more than three decades' experience in mineral exploration and project management in the Western United States, South America and Europe, the Vancouver-based explorer said.
"Eugene has viewed our data on Sycamore Canyon and Ramsey is very optimistic about our findings," said Mike Stark, Arizona's chairman. "He wants to be part of this project."
Spiering, as VP exploration, participated in the discovery and development of the El Valle and Carles gold mines and the Aguablanca nickel mine in Spain, along with the discovery of two new uranium mineralized breccia pipes in Arizona. He was also responsible for the exploration and definition of two porphyry copper deposits near Yerington, Nevada.
Earlier this month, Arizona Silver Exploration Inc revealed it had closed a non-brokered private placing, raising gross proceeds of $231,846.
The company plans to use the proceeds for further exploration at its Ramsey silver mine in La Paz County and the Sycamore Canyon property in Graham county, both in Arizona and for general working capital.
Arizona Silver shares are unchanged at $0.07 in Toronto.
