Curaleaf Holdings Inc (OTC:LDVTF) shares slumped after the company announced it was opening its first medical marijuana dispensary in Lutz, Florida, on Friday.
Curaleaf currently operates 35 dispensaries across the United States.
Lutz's first medical marijuana dispensary, located at 1408 Dale Mabry Highway, will offer patients, physicians and community members medical marijuana educational seminars and resources in its community meeting room every month.
Curaleaf stock was down over 10% to $5.75.
Allscripts Healthcare Solutions Inc (NASDAQ:MDRX) stock climbed after its chief executive bought back shares of the company.
The company CEO, Paul Black, bought 24,765 shares of Allscripts this week at an average price of $10.10 a share. The total cost of the purchase was $250,127.
Allscripts Healthcare Solutions is a provider of clinical, financial, connectivity and information solutions and related professional services that empower hospitals, physicians and post-acute organizations.
The stock was trading 4.8% higher at $10.31.
Belmond Ltd (NYSE:BEL) stock popped after the hotel chain was bought by luxury goods maker Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (OTCMKTS:LVMUY).
The purchase price in the transaction is $3.2 billion.
Belmond has a global portfolio of around 46 luxury hotels, cruises, safaris and trains.
The stock is up almost 40% to $24.69.
Altair Engineering Inc (NASDAQ:ALTR) shares fell after announcing the completion of an acquisition.
The company said it has completed its previously announced acquisition of Datawatch Corporation.
Datawatch provides data intelligence with market leading enterprise data preparation, predictive analytics and visualization solutions that fuel business analytics.
The stock is down nearly 2.7% to $28.31.
