LithiumOre Corp said it has appointed to its advisory team, Hakan Kostepen, the executive director for strategy and innovation at Panasonic Corp's automotive systems unit.
The Incline Village, Nevada-based unit of Oroplata Resources Inc (OTCMKTS:ORRP) said in a filing that Kostepen has broad systems engineering and advanced product development experience at Panasonic, Ford Motor Co (NYSE:F), Visteon Corp (NASDAQ:VC) and the US Air Force.
Kostepen is well-versed in various automotive ''real time'' embedded systems applications, according to LithiumOre.
"It gives me great pleasure to announce Hakan's appointment to our advisory team,” Chairman and CEO Doug Cole said in a statement. “His extensive knowledge in global marketing and new technology product development will prove most beneficial in sourcing compelling business opportunities within this space.''
Shares of Oroplata climbed $0.05, or 17%, to $0.35 in Friday’s OTC Markets trading.
LithiumOre is focusing on the development of production-grade lithium brine deposits in Nevada. Last month, the company cited progress in identifying technology for its new battery metals extraction division.
