ICC International Cannabis Corp (CSE:WRLD.U) (OTCMKTS:WLDCF) is set to market and distribute its cannabidiol (CBD) health and wellness products across Spain under the name of Mexican singer Thalia Sodi after extending its new licensing agreement with Authentic Brands Group (ABG).
Thalia has more than 40 million followers on social media and by adopting her name in its branding efforts, the Vancouver cannabis company is hoping to capture market share across Spain.
“We’re excited to bring the notable Thalia Sodi brand to the forefront of the CBD beauty conversation in Spain,” said Eugene Beukman, CEO of International Cannabis. “We’re confident the brand will have significant impact on the CBD community, and are thrilled to bring our CBD-based solutions to this diverse target audience.”
Other brands recently licensed by ICC as part of its agreement with Authentic Brands include Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley and the golfing great Greg Norman.
The licensing agreement with ABG was struck on March 18 and lasts for 10 years.
In addition to its marketing impact, the ABG partnership offers access to tens of thousands of distribution channels and points of sale where existing offerings can be sold alongside ICC International Cannabis’s repertoire of CBD products.
