Boot Barn Holdings to be added to S&P SmallCap 600 Index

Boot Barn sells Western-themed footwear and apparel

Boot Barn Holdings Inc. (NYSE:BOOT), which runs a string speciality retail stores selling Western-themed footwear and apparel, will replace PS Business Parks in the S&P SmallCap 600 Index, S&P Dow Jones Indices announced Thursday.

The Irvine, California-based retailer will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS Apparel Retail Sub-Industry index, effective prior to trading on April 11.

S&P did not give a reason for the change.

The company Boot Barn is replacing -- PS Business Parks -- is a real estate investment trust. The Glendale, California-based REIT will be added to the S&P MidCap 400 GICS Diversified REIT's Sub-Industry index.

Boot Barn operates 232 stores in 31 states.

Shares of Boot Barn rose 7.43% to $31.80 in Friday trading.
