American Manganese expands its board by adding six new directors

American Manganese Inc (CVE:AMY) (OTCMKTS:AMYZF) shareholders voted Monday at the annual general meeting to elect a slew of new directors to the company’s board.

Based on proxy voting, representing 18.41% of the company’s shares, six new directors were elected to the board.

American Manganese president and CEO Larry W Reaugh secured more than 99.9% of votes cast to step into the board. Other newly elected board members include Andris Kikauka, Jan Eigenhuis, Edward F Skoda, Norman L Tribe, and Kurt Lageschulte.

American Manganese stock climbed 13.4% to $0.12 in aftrenoon trade.

In addition, DeVisser Gray, which provides accounting services was named the company’s auditors by a majority of shareholders.

American Manganese is blazing a trail in the recovery of metals from scrap cathode material rejected by battery manufacturers and is focused on recycling electric-vehicle (EV) lithium-ion batteries.

It is developing the RecycLiCo system of recycling lithium-ion batteries to extract cathode metals such as lithium, cobalt, nickel and manganese at battery-grade purity.
