Duos Technologies Group Inc (OTCQB:DUOT) CEO Gianni Arcaini said Thursday that its Class 1 customer spotlighted the company’s advanced digital imaging solutions for driving railroad efficiency at both RailxTech and the Railroad Day on Capitol Hill.

RailxTech organized by the Association of American Railroads, in Washington, DC, drew the top Class I railroads, or the giant freight railroads that own the majority of tracks in North America.

They demonstrated new rail technology innovations focusing on safety and efficiency to congressional policymakers and transport stakeholders.

Jacksonville, Florida-based Duos Technologies advanced digital imaging solutions were displayed at a booth run by one of the Duos’ Class I railroad customers.

Separately, Duos company executives joined industry leaders on May 8 for the annual Railroad Day on Capitol Hill. They had one-on-one meetings with members of Congress to discuss issues affecting the broader railroad industry.

"The rail industry is undergoing a transformation with many new technology advancements being made that have the potential to improve safety and generate a positive economic impact for the constituents of these congressional policymakers," said Arcaini. "Our Class 1 customer chose to spotlight our system to highlight the advancements they've made on their railroad with Duos solutions at the forefront.”

Arcaini said the Duos was “appreciative” of the interest it received from many members of Congress who took time to “discuss the impact and importance of these technologies."

The company specializes in rail train inspections that rely on Duos’ proprietary Rail Inspection Portal (RIP) technology and use an automated process that can be conducted while a train is in motion. Duos’s technology takes detailed, real-time, full-picture images of rail cars traveling at great speeds.

All systems are designed to incorporate intelligence, including video analytics, algorithms, and neural networking, to address specific needs. All rail solutions utilize the company’s xtd Extreme True Definition technology which captures over 200 Megapixel images at speeds up to and exceeding 70 miles per hour.

“We incorporate a variety of camera technologies including machine vision area and line scan cameras, multi-spectral imagers and modern IP cameras,” said the company.

Duos said it is advancing its capabilities to help the rail transportation business and management indicated that it expects to release a number of new technologies throughout 2019.

The company did not disclose the name of the Class 1 customer.
