NexTech AR Solutions (OTCQB:NEXCF) (CSE:NTAR) wants to change the way people buy furniture.
The company has reached a deal with Touchstone Home Products to bring its augmented reality technology to the firm's home furnishings website.
NexTech’s ARitize platform allows Touchstone to transform two-dimensional images into three-dimensional ones, changing the way customers shop for products online by letting them see how a piece of furniture would look in their living rooms.
The company will initially “ARitize” six products, and the plan is to eventually incorporate Touchstone’s entire product catalog of electric fireplaces, TV cabinets and more.
"Furniture shopping is a very tangible process,” Touchstone VP of Marketing Frank Quinlisk said.
“With NexTech AR technology, we are able to bring our TV lift cabinet and fireplace showroom experiences to life. Online shoppers can view the TV lift cabinet or electric fireplaces from every angle and zoom in to see the quality construction up close. We are pleased to offer this in-depth product view to our customers who aren't able to visit our showroom in person," he added.
The ARitize platform works as a monthly software-as-a-service licensing and delivery model. In addition to e-commerce, NexTech offers a workplace education program that gives business new training options and a studio product that allows people to create holographic versions of themselves.
