Production is set to rise with new kit in place

BlueRock Diamonds PLC (LON:BRD)  has completed a crushing circuit upgrade at its Kareevlei mine in Kimberley, South Africa.

The new crusher is now in operation and expected to be running at full capacity shortly.

Mike Houston, executive chairman, said the shut-down period to install the new crusher had also enabled several improvements to be made to the processing plant.

Production is expected to hit target levels in the second half of the year.

Bluerock kept volume guidance for the year at 280,000 tonnes to 335,000 tonnes but said this figure will be refined at the end of the third quarter when the new crushing circuit has been operational for two months.
