HaloSource tapping into world’s growing need for clean water

Published: 02:36 16 Sep 2015 EDT

Martin Coles, chief executive of clean water tech company HaloSource (LON:HALO), says he is positive on future growth prospects for the business, given the demand for clean drinking water across developing nations.

Founded in Seattle, Washington, HaloSource operates in three market segments: drinking water, recreational water, and environmental water treatment.

The firm’s Drinking Water division purifies water for over 15 million people every day and revenues from this operation jumped by 33% to US$2.7mln in the first half.

Through HaloSource’s technology, contaminated water is purified by running through a cartridge filled with small, bromine-infused beads.

The simple and low cost approach allows the firm’s partners to make purification products affordable to more low and middle-income customers in the developing world.
