Strategic Minerals could have another project in six months, says MD

John Peters, managing director of Strategic Minerals (LON:SML), says the company could have its hands on another project within the next six months.

The business is looking at the Wanbao project in Jilin province, China as a potential addition to its portfolio.

It already runs an iron ore project – Cobre - in New Mexico, which moved into profitability in the first half of this year.

It also has a 51% stake in the Tatu coal project in New Zealand.

Speaking to Proactive, Peters describes April’s £1mln fund raise as “crucial” and the first half as “transformational.”
