Fastjet CEO eyes Zambia licence as Zimbabwe plans take off

Ed Winter, chief executive of Fastjet (LON:FJET), says the airline is on course to start flying its planes in Zambia before the end of the year following a key licence award in Zimbabwe.

An Air Operator Certificate (AOC) means Fastjet can now fly domestic and international routes within and from Zimbabwe, a significant milestone on the firm’s path to becoming the most successful pan African low cost airline.
A similar agreement with the Zambia Civil Aviation Authority (ZCAA) is expected to be reached in the final months of 2015.
