fastjet’s new routes end Kenya Airways monopoly, says CEO

Ed Winter, chief executive of low cost Africa-focused airline fastjet (LON:FJET), says the company’s new Keyna service ends a long-running monopoly held by Kenya Airways.

Planes are now flying from Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to the Kenyan capital Nairobi.

Flights operate daily, with one way fares starting from US$80 and US$50 respectively, plus tax, the airline said.
