(,CVE:GAL) chief executive Roland Phelps joined Proactive to discuss the discovery of a new vein on its Omagh project in Northern Ireland.
In an encouraging development, the firm found new high grade vein called 'Kestrel' in an under-explored area of the formerly producing property.
The results were at a very high grade, Phelps said, with “over an ounce per tonne of gold” at a mineable width of 0.7m.
On its existing Joshua vein, the firm announced it also discovered the “largest accumulation of gold” it has seen so far on the licence, with grades of 9.9 grams per tonne gold over a 13m width.
The next stage is to finalise the planning consent and complete the financing for the project to get a potential mine into production.
