Kromek Group PLC (LON:KMK) chief executive Arnab Basu told Proactive Investors he is pleased with the imaging and radiation detection specialist’s interim results, and highlighted that the group’s growth is increasingly being driven by product sales rather than research and development.

“Product sales accounts for 74% of our revenues in the first half of the year, which is a significant increase compared to last year’s comparable period,” Basu said in an interview.

Basu also notes that some US$35mln worth contracts have been signed up as customers begin to convert development contract into supply orders.

“They are getting traction in their own markets, their products are becoming successful and so their confidence is building,” he said.

“As a consequence the size of the contracts that they’re awarding to Kromek is increasing as well, and we are growing with them.”

“We are experiencing growth and we are very confident of continuing that growth in the future periods as well.”
