Tyranna Resources develops new battery minerals division

Published: 08:44 27 Mar 2018 EDT

Bruno Seneque, Managing Director of Tyranna Resources (ASX:TYX), explains why and how the company is establishing a new battery minerals division to complement its Australian gold portfolio.

Following an oversubscribed share placement in February, the company suspended trading ahead of last week’s announcement of an agreement to acquire 100% of the Goodsprings cobalt and base metals project in the US state of Nevada, which sent shares up 30% intra-day.

“Australians have a reputation for being good explorers. We’re not scared of taking risks and so we’ve been welcomed with open arms by the Americans, and I think that bodes very well for our strategy going forward,” says Seneque.

He outlines key news releases to watch out for in the coming weeks, relating to the battery minerals expansion as well as the Eureka, Wilcherry Hill and Jumbuck gold and base metals projects.
