Greatland Gold reports 'excellent' results from Newcrest drilling at Havieron

Greatland Gold (LON:GGP) has received impressive numbers from partner Newcrest’s drilling at the Havieron project in Australia.  Results showed a gold grade of 7 g/t over a width of 52m in one hole and 1.1 grams over 39m in another. There were also good copper indications.

E-banking group Equals (LON:EQLS) has entered into a global relationship with Citi Commercial Bank. Equals will leverage Citi's global footprint to strengthen its current product offering.

Components group DiscoverIE’s (LON:DSCV) first quarter has been good against strong comparators and they’re on track to meet  full year earnings expectations.  Group sales for the first quarter increased by 8%.

Facebook shares closed higher overnight as a better than expected sales performance offset a US$5bn fine related to the Cambridge Analytica scandal. Second quarter sales rose to US$16.9nm from US$13.2bn.

Mining giant Anglo American (LON:AAL) has launched a US$1bn buy-back programme even though the shares are at a five-year high.

AstraZeneca notched up more impressive revenues in its latest quarter. Product sales jumped 14% to US$5.72bn with all regions and every therapy area delivering encouraging performances.
