Domino’s Pizza (LON:DOM) has confirmed that David Wild has taken the chief executive job permanently after three successful months in the hotseat.
The pizza delivery firm has been on the hunt for a new boss since previous CEO Lance Batchelor announced he was leaving to join over-50s company Saga Group ahead of its stock market flotation.
Before becoming interim chief executive, Wild was a non-executive director of Domino’s.
“Since taking on the CEO role on an interim basis it has been clear to me that Domino's is a fantastic company with a strong brand, quality products and excellent people,” Wild said.
“I have very much enjoyed the full time role within the business and look forward to continuing to work closely with our franchisees to grow the business across all of our geographic regions.”
Chairman Stephen Hemsley added: “Since becoming interim CEO in January, he has impressed the board with his passion and understanding of both the company and our franchisees. He has brought clarity of thought to our strategy, both in how to progress in the UK and Internationally.”
The shares edged up 2p to 515p.
