Ryanair makes flying finish to the year

Low-cost airline Ryanair’s (LON:RYA) “Always Getting Better” customer programme is proving even more successful than the company had anticipated.

The airline carried more than 6mln passengers last month, which is a 20% increase on December 2013.

The load factor, which measures how full each aeroplane is, rose seven points to 88% from 81% in December 2013.

Ryanair’s chief marketing officer, Kenny Jacobs, said the load factors in the winter period are rising faster than expected, despite a significantly expanded schedule.
