Cantronic wins C$2.4 million Safe City surveillance deal in China

Cantronic Systems Inc (TSX-V: CTS) it won  a contract worth approximately C$2.4 million to build a digital security and video surveillance network for the public security bureau of the local government in Kaili City, Guizhou province in southwestern China.

Construction has commenced and it is expected to take approximately three to five months to complete the project.

The Kaili Safe City project is Cantronic's first acting as a primary contractor for a Safe City project.

James Zahn, president and chief executive officer of Cantronic, said: "In spite of the global recession, we continue to see strong momentum from security and infrastructure solutions in the Chinese market. We also believe the recent US$586 billion stimulus package from the Chinese government will provide additional opportunities for our business ahead.”
