Advent Software (NASDAQ: ADVS) has acquired privately held Norwegian software provider Goya for an undisclosed sum. Through the deal the San Francisco head-quartered financial software developer has added Goya’s principal product, the Tradex investment fund distribution platform.

"Becoming part of the Advent team and the EMEA operation provides a tremendous opportunity to take Tradex into the broader marketplace", Goya MD Marcus van Koningsbruggen said. "We are thrilled to be joining forces with a proven leader that shares our commitment to innovation and driving success for our clients."

According to Advent, Tradex is ideal for both fund managers and fund distributors to make their own and third party funds available to advisors, branches, resellers and shareholders. Furthermore the system, which is already in use by several mutual Advent and Goya clients, is ideal for self-administrating fund managers and asset managers that can run both fund management, discretionary and advisory asset management on one single solution, Advent said.

The company intends to offer Tradex along with the Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX) and trade order management Moxy products, to provide a powerful integrated front-to-back office solution for fund and asset management.
