Greenscape Capital Group (TSX-V:GRN) said Monday that Canopy Airport Parking, the green parking facility servicing the Denver International Airport, is currently ahead of schedule and slated to open for customers in mid-November.
With capacity for 4200 vehicles, the new green facility, located at 8100 Tower Road at Denver International Airport, uses a number of environmentally-friendly technologies, including solar power, geothermal, wind, CNG, Biodiesel and hybrid shuttles. The parking facility will create 100 new jobs, Greenscape said.
The company also said that Canopy Airport Parking will attain LEED Gold certification and is as well aiming for Platinum certification by the Green Parking Council, the non-profit organization responsible for certifying parking structures that incorporate ecologically and socially beneficial technologies.
The Garage Juice Bar charging stations for electric vehicles will be one of the technologies available to customers parking at the new facility. Co-created with BMW Group DesignworksUSA, Garage Juice Bar provides charging on a complimentary basis to help speed the use of electric vehicles and charging stations across North America.
