The company, which styles itself as an enabler of the Internet of Things (IoT), said the tests were conducted on a live 5G network - 5G is the fifth generation of mobile networks - in Korea at sub-6 GHz (gigahertz) frequencies.
A second set of successful tests was conducted in millimetre wave spectrum using test equipment.
Following the completion of testing commercial shipments to customers are expected to commence in the first quarter of 2020.
"The successful testing of our new 5G product on a live 5G network in Korea will allow Telit to begin distribution to operators, integrators and end-users worldwide in the coming months,” said Paolo Dal Pino, the chief executive officer of Telit.
“Telit has increased its focus on high category LTE and 5G products, a key driver of its strategy to become a leading end-to-end IoT provider that enables enterprises to successfully execute their digital transformation."
