Telson Mining Corporation (CVE:TSN) (OTCMKTS:SOHFF) has revealed that, with improving market prices for zinc and good relations with the local community, it will be renewing mining operations at Campo Morado in Mexico. Campo Morado is a polymetallic base metal project in the state of Guerrero, Mexico, which has mining and milling equipment capable of producing up to 2,500 tonnes per day. Four months after purchasing Campo Morado, Telson brought the mine back into operation initiating pre-production in October 2017. Dunnedin Ventures Inc (CVE:DVI) is kicking off a new drill program at its MPD project in British Columbia to test two zones that previously revealed significant gold and copper mineralization. The Vancouver-based junior is planning to drill 1,500 metres at the Prime Zone and the Man Zone, where historic exploration uncovered high gold values on the property. Previous drilling at Prime in 2013 returned results of 24.6 metres of 0.3% copper and 0.07 grams per ton (g/t) gold and 12 metres of 0.3% copper and 0.07 g/t gold nearly 450 metres apart.
DRDGOLD Limited (JSE:DRD) (NYSE:DRD), the South African gold producer, reported a 5% increase in gold production to 1,493 kilogram in output for the quarter ended September 30 compared with the three months to June. In a statement, the company attributed the rise primarily to a 4% increase in tonnage throughput to 7,155,000 tonnes as its Far West Gold Recoveries operation achieved a planned throughput of 500,000 tonnes per month from phase 1 and successfully started operating its mills at the beginning of September.
