Technivorm Moccamaster, NexTech’s first international client, has signed on for the company’s WebAR solution, which turns 2D images into 3D augmented reality assets that customers can interact with, in a standard web browser.
NexTech said its clients can experience up to a 400% increase in customer engagement with their products and up to a 2,000% increase in add to cart rates — like adding a shot of espresso to their sales.

“Unlike typical coffee makers, Technivorm Moccamaster brewers are noted for their craftsmanship and quality ‘Golden Cup’ coffee experience,” NexTech CEO Evan Gappelberg said in a statement. “NexTech’s AR will allow discerning customers to get up close and appreciate the quality of Moccamaster Brewers. With the ability to view the product from every angle and to pinch and zoom into key product features, our AR solutions add tremendous value and are really a game changer to companies such as Technivorm Moccamaster helping them to convert online e-commerce shoppers into buyers.”
NexTech has been able to rapidly add new companies to its roster, thanks to its recently-announced CaptureAR technology, which creates photorealistic 3D AR objects using just a cell phone camera.
“We are looking forward to leveraging augmented reality to engage with customers enabling them to see our brewers up close and from all angles online,” Technivorm Moccamaster COO Kathleen Bauer.
