Weekend Unlimited Inc (CSE:POT) (OTCMKTS:WKULF) is launching its WKND! cannabis products in Oklahoma, the company reported Tuesday.
The Vancouver-based company said that the sales and distribution of the branded products in the southern US state was a “significant milestone” for the firm.
Weekend will sell its WKND! line of pre-roll Quicksticks (small-dose joints), edibles and vape cartridges in the Sooner State.
In September, Weekend signed a brand alliance and licensing agreement with Ruby Mae’s, an edibles producer in the state with established sales and distribution channels. The alliance gives Weekend a presence in 250 cannabis retail stores, according to CEO Chris Backus.
“Oklahoma is a wide-open market with terrific potential and production of WKND! branded products has been completed so that we can deliver at the retail level,” Backus told investors in a statement.
"The local team we have put in place has done tremendous work to understand the needs of the Oklahoma market, what consumers are looking for and we pride ourselves on the ability to be responsive and develop WKND! branded products that meet and exceed that demand."
Weekend has been busy expanding its US presence this year, with the move into Oklahoma coming hot on the heels of its expansion into Washington State.
Earlier in the year, the firm revealed that it was accelerating the launch of its branded edibles in Oklahoma due to local demand.
Backus recently told shareholders that the company is taking a long-term approach to sustainable market growth, building brand affinity in multiple markets and growing state by state alliances like Ruby Mae’s.
