NexTech AR Solutions Corp (OTCMKTS:NEXCF) (CSE:NTAR) revealed Tuesday that it has scored a new customer in the shape of Tufner Weighing Systems, a manufacturer of commercial weighing and automation systems.
In a statement, the company said California-based Tufner will utilize NexTech’s ARitize augmented reality eCommerce solution, a platform that was specifically designed to turn online shoppers into buyers.
ARitize is the first cross-platform, browser-based and web-enabled augmented reality e-commerce option. A monthly SaaS subscription platform, ARitize enables retailers to transform two-dimensional images into true 3D AR experiences.
With CaptureAR and ARitize, customers can accelerate their product appeal, enhance shopper engagement, and increase shop-to-buy conversion while driving revenue growth, the company added.
“Tufner Weighing Systems designs and manufactures a wide variety of industry-specific scale systems from load cells to truck scales. We build our scale systems to increase the efficiency and productivity of our customers,” said Kyle Schaffer, director of sales at Tufner.
“It’s important that we keep abreast of emerging technologies to help improve our market position and saleability of our products. Augmented reality will allow us to better reach and engage our dealer network and customers,” Kyle added.
Augmented or virtual reality applications are set to revolutionize the e-commerce space, a burgeoning $2.8 billion industry that is expected to nearly double its value in three years, according to company data.
