Newrange Gold's Good Hope mine sampling results continue to underscore Pamlico's potential

The project in the US state is home to around 8,000 meters of tunnels scattered throughout the district

"With these final results, we are pleased to see the continuity of gold and silver mineralization throughout the workings at the Good Hope Mine," said Bob Archer

Newrange Gold Corp (CVE:NRG) (OTCMKTS:NRGOF) says the last of its underground sampling results from the Good Hope mine at the Pamlico project in Nevada, underlines the continuity of gold and silver throughout the workings of the former mine.

The project in the US state is home to around 8,000 meters (m) of tunnels scattered throughout the district and 300 adits (entrances) in the old workings but no maps and data.

Newrange is trying to tie up the zones of mineralization. Its underground mapping and channel sampling program at Good Hope has already identified a large, northwest striking, southwest dipping zone of continuous, near surface, oxide gold mineralization, which parallels the surface with a minimum dip extent in excess of 99 m.

It remains open along strike and down dip beyond the historic mine workings.

The latest results show oxide gold extending from outcrops at the portal of the 5609 level of the old mine for the entire 51 m length of the level, the firm revealed.

Mineralization, as sampled, ranges from five to more than 17 m in width, with an average grade of 1.05 grams gold per metric tonne (g/t) and 11.2 g/t silver, it said.

Newrange noted that the 5609 level results indicate excellent continuity of mineralization between the adjacent levels where results from the 5570 level averaged 12.48 g/t gold and 49.55 g/t silver over a 24 m strike length.

That was within a larger zone averaging 1.15 g/t gold and 20.48 g/t silver over a strike length of 144 m, and the 5690 level, which averaged 13.89 g/t gold and 71.19 g/t silver over 40 m.

Continuity of gold and silver

"With these final results, we are pleased to see the continuity of gold and silver mineralization throughout the workings at the Good Hope Mine," said Robert Archer, chief executive at Newrange.

"Now that the company is well financed, we intend to add at least one more sampling crew to speed up the process. In addition, the IP geophysical crew will be returning to continue that survey and refine additional drill targets to be tested later in this first quarter."
