CleanSpark Inc (NASDAQ:CLSK) announced that coronavirus data is now available nationwide through a neighborhood security app called AlertNest, which its subsidiary p2klabs was hired to help design.
AlertNest, which normally collects and shares police, crime, local current events and weather data, now includes updates from the Centers for Disease Control and other vetted sources about the coronavirus.
"We created AlertNest to help empower people to live better and safer lives, by providing them with valuable information about their neighborhoods,” AlertNest CEO Becky Wanta said. “The current situation we are in demonstrates the value of access to information and data.”
The AlertNest app is available for both iOS and Android.
“We are pleased to see the products we designed providing valuable information in this time of crisis,” CleanSpark's chief revenue officer Amer Tadayon said in a statement.
“AlertNest provides important and relevant information free of charge to anyone with a mobile device," he added.
Las Vegas-based p2klabs specializes in applying design, technology, and business process methodologies to create intuitive digital experiences and journeys that help transform and grow businesses.
CleanSpark, based in Salt Lake City, also makes software for energy microgrids, allowing them to be scaled to a user's specific needs and implemented across the commercial, industrial, military and agricultural sectors.
